It’s day #3 in the 31 Days of Thrifty Fall Decor series.
I almost didn’t get to posting today….we had two house showings this week, which is awesome, but….when there are 5 kids in your family, two of which are really little, and your husband and you both basically work from home, deep cleaning a 3,200 sq ft house twice in one week is CRAZY!!!
But…
I made it.
So here’s today’s topic:
Dollar Store Black Crows!
These crows are awesome! I was so glad the Dollar Store had them this year! They have little wires coming out of their feet, so they’re easy to stick about anywhere.
Seriously, these are one of my favorite things at the Dollar Store this fall.
The only problem is…they are only a dollar, so I keep wanting to buy more.
I put them on my curly willow branches in my Living Room.
…and I used them on my Halloween Mantle.
My friend Linda used them on her tablescape.
It All Started with Paint’s Fall Tablescape
They could even be used on a treat. (they even make the treat look sinister).
I’m totally in love with this Halloween wreath on Etsy.
The Baker’s Daughter Etsy Shop
….even PotteryBarn is using them,
but if you choose to buy them from PB, they cost $12-$28.
…and why pay that, when their at the Dollar Store for a dollar?
And that wraps up day #3 in the 31 Days of Thrifty Fall Decor series.
Will you be buying any crows this year?

Most of what you'll see here are ways to live inexpensively, and how I put those into practice with my constant need to renovate houses.
We are a military family of 7, so houses must come big and inexpensive, and made beautiful as we go, turning what most would see as trash, into treasure.
Thanks for stopping by, stay awhile and make yourself at home. I hope you enjoy my ideas.

Thanks for sharing my dollar store crows with you dollar store crows! I grabbed a whole bunch at the dollar store a few weeks ago … and am thinking I might even see if I can nab some more!
They look fabulous in your home, by the way!
It looks like I need to make a trip to the dollar store! I love them! Love the price too.

I bought five, they are so stinkin cute I had to stop myself. I just love how they add the halloween vibe without being too much
Ooh, now I have to send the hubby to check the dollar store! What a fun, creative bunch of displays.
I MUST get my hands on some of those willow branches, CUTE! and the crows are just adorable. Great job!
Thanks Tami.
You should send out a local FB message and see if anyone has a tree that they need trimmed. Some people get them from a local park here, and I have a neighbor who landscapes, so he brought them home….I was lucky
I’ve been wondering where everyone was finding those black crows! thanks for sharing. I love what you’ve done with them!
Thanks Dixie! Yup, you can’t beat the price of the Dollar Store

Oh I love those dollar store black crows, I’ve had mine for a couple of years now and they’ve held up nicely. I’ve even used them outside on branches. Your decor looks lovely! Thanks for sharing.
Good to know they’ll probably last through another season!
