Hey everyone,
Can you believe tomorrow’s Friday? TGIF!
We’re now on day #4 of the 31 Days of Thrifty Fall Decor series.
Today’s topic:
Sagebrush Baskets
I usually keep a green plant in this corner, but my green plant just wasn’t saying “fall” to me, so I switched it out for an old basket filled with sagebrush.
I know not everyone lives next to sage brush, but if you live next to any grasses or brush that would dry nicely, it might also make a nice, (and free) fall addition.
You don’t have to have a basket. A vase, urn, or pot would also work.
I also used a pile of books to bring the basket to an ideal height for this area.
I don’t live here exactly, but close, and this is what the sagebrush looks like in the fall where I live.
It’s colorful, dries nicely and is FREE, so what’s to loose? (unless you have allergies)
The color does fade after about two weeks, but still….totally worth it!
I filled the playhouse flower boxes with these today…..but I’ll share that next week.

Most of what you'll see here are ways to live inexpensively, and how I put those into practice with my constant need to renovate houses.
We are a military family of 7, so houses must come big and inexpensive, and made beautiful as we go, turning what most would see as trash, into treasure.
Thanks for stopping by, stay awhile and make yourself at home. I hope you enjoy my ideas.

The perfect touch of fall for your little corner! Happy weekend, Katie!
Hi Katie!! Love the sagebrush and I adore that basket! Happy fall
I do too Anne. I think it’s an under-used weed
