Christmas Front Porch

I was going to post about something besides the front of my house today,

but I never found time to take pictures of anything inside, so here’s the final pictures of the front of my house dressed up for Christmas.

Here was the beginning of the garland.

I took some evergreen clippings and added them.

Then I added some Christmas Dollar Store bulbs. I secured them with bobby-pins…I know, weird, but it worked.

Here is the final result for the garland.

You can see my Christmas planter tutorial HERE.

…and my Christmas wreath post HERE.

I added a red star and lantern that were previously in the back of the house,

and that’s it!

Now on to the inside of the house. I have someone looking at it on Sunday, so that’s some incentive to get it finished!

How is your Christmas decorating going?

Are you going simple, or all out?

  1. I love it, it is so cheery and welcoming

  2. BOBBY PINS! I think you are on to something fantastic. I’m totally in love with your porch. And having a showing on your home is awesome incentive to get things DONE! Can’t wait to see the inside~!

  3. Wow! I love it! I might steal the planter idea for my back porch which looks terrible right now. Having planters would cover up the unfinished outside work.

I’m starting a Christmas Open House tomorrow on my blog, AND we’ll be starting with decorating. I would love for you to share your post!

  4. I like it! It is so whimsical.
