Word of the Year …TRUST

My word of the year for 2012 was SERVE.

I had internal struggles with just posting pictures of what I do, so I decided  to use my talents to serve others in my life. My hope was to do this once a month, either helping someone paint, or giving decorating ideas, finding some pictures for frinds on Pinterest etc…

I think this worked out about 50% of the time. From my Sister’s Bedroom Makeover to my Aunt’s Spring Wreath, to just helping people paint some rooms, I did find places to serve.

I wish I would have made it 100% of the time, but some good is better than none.

Just like last year, the word for 2013 came to me right away.

The word was

We are at a point in our lives where so many things are up in the air.

My husband finished his masters two weeks ago, and he is filling jobs applications out all across the country.

We are still debating about selling our house (that is currently on the market) or renting it out,

and we’re feeling lead to start filling out foster to adopt paperwork.

Understand we already have five kids and I’m sure we will appear more nuts-o than ever!

God has really given me good peace and contentment with places, situations, jobs, and children.

He has always taken such good care of us in the past and I know he will again.

My most difficult problem is TIME.

I keep wondering WHEN we will know where we are going?  WHEN we will know what we’re doing…when, when, when?

….and that’s why my word for 2013 is what it is.

God simply says, “TRUST me.”

Remember that when you’ve asked me and you’ve listened, I’ve always given you more good than you’ve asked for, so just focus on today.

So many changes for 2013!

I’m so excited to see where we will be and what we will be doing this year.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your paths.”  Proverbs 3:5

Do you have a word for your life in 2013? I’d love to hear what it is.
