Butterfly Cage

Spring Butterfly Cage

I had wanted a bird cage for the spring, and just my luck, I found this old rusty one at a friend’s yardsale a couple weeks ago.

She is super generous, so it only set me back 3 buckeroos!

Here it is after a little white spray paint. I didn’t want to do much to it, but it was a little dirty and rusty.

I had to put something inside that would fit through the little door.

So I placed some moss, rocks and a moss covered branch in the cage.

…and this dollar butterfly from Micheals.

I love how it turned out.

I think butterflies are so whimsical.

I also picked up the COOLEST vintage fan….but we’ll save that for a summer post!

Hope your week is going great!
