If you haven’t visited the blog in awhile, I’m bring you up to speed.
We are giving our rental a face-lift with hopes of having it rental ready within the next week or so.
This was the lovely entryway light.
…and here’s my beautification solution.
Loosen the screws and shove some paper (I found this and that off the floor) between the ceiling and light fixture.
Use whatever color of spray paint you would like.
I used Rustoleum flat black, since I already had it on hand from a different project.
Spray paint should run you around $3.
I picked up a school-house type light shade at the Habitat for Humanity Restore. $2!
…and 20 minutes later, it’s looking much better!
If you really want to do it right, use spray primer first,
but I just used the black since I figure no one will be touching the lighting base on the ceiling.
Just a little time and a few bucks!
