Man, I’m behind with my posts! If there were only 48 hrs in a day!
A week and a half ago I attended Haven, a blogger conference in Atlanta.
My plan was to blog about it every day while I was there, but my computer monitor broke the first day of the conference, and my phone screen was cracked and shot, and would only do half of what it was supposed to…so….here I am, telling you all about it over a week later.
The Haven conference was a blast!
I flew out of Washington with my blogging friend Mimi, from Blue Roof Cabin.
She is crazy talented, so check her site out!
We started off with a welcome party at the Hyatt in the Buckhead Dist.of Atlanta.
Great fun, good food, awesome people….but a little intimidating. I was glad I had Mimi with me, and by the end of the night, we had met some other friends that we hung around with for the remainder of the conference.
The second day I hit some awesome classes about brands and blogging, and Google + tips.
There were some AWESOME sponsors that gave us some serious loot!
This pic only shows some of it!
This is a pic of me working on a container project from the Cottonelle booth.
Another pic of us at the conference. Near all the great sponsor booths.
…and yes my KregJig from Ryobi made it past security at the airport….fewf!
The second night we were there, Home Depot and Ryobi threw us a great cocktail party, dinner and after dinner dance party.
I was seriously impressed with all their creativity!
Drill bits for centerpieces! Now that is just plain awesome!
Me showing my excitement over the drill bit centerpieces…cause I’m weird like that!
…and yes, I guess they caught a pic of Candice and I dancing!
My fave pic of all! Not only is it a pic of some great DIY gals and power tools, but that is Mandi from Vintage Revivals to my left! #starstruck
I also participated in the Ballard Bookcase Design Challenge, which was so fun! I think I could decorate bookcases for hours! Of course Ballard Design supplied an awesome array of materials to decorate with!
Can’t say enough about what a great conference it was. Great people, lots of learning and fantastic sponsors!
Looking forward to going again next year!
