Yes, the title is misleading. Painting is far from complete!
…but after buying too many paint samples, and taping 50 gray colors on my ways, my decision making phobia finally ended and I went with….
Sherwin-Williams Crushed Ice @ 75% for the sitting room and the connected dining room.
I wanted a barley-there, light gray in this room, and Crushed Ice looked gray with beige undertones on the paint card, but when I got it on the wall, it lived up to it’s name….it was a gray-blue. I asked for it at 75% and I’m pretty sure it’s more like 80-90%, but it was a very nice, light gray-blue. I really wasn’t going for blue undertones, I sort of like them now. The color is beautiful with the curtains, and goes very well with the gold couch.
I don’t have quite enough done in the room to show you, but this is a sneak peak of where this room is going, and you can see the paint color.
Oh wait….you need a before!
…and here’s my transition pic.
Now to paint the baseboard, and to try to pick a darker gray for the parlor!
